The Master List is a bit overwhelming. Which monitors do you recommend?
These are my top 4 safest monitor recommendations: Asus ROG STRIX XG17AHP, Asus ProArt PA24ACRV, ASUS ProArt PA278CGV, and Acer Predator X32 FP. Except for the Asus ProArt PA24ACRV, I have personally owned and can vouch for each of these monitors. In my opinion and experience, these would be your safest bets for a migraine friendly monitor.

How can pwm flicker cause symptoms if I'm not even consciously aware of the flicker?
I like to think of PWM flicker in a similar manner as radiation poisoning. Just because you can’t see or aren’t consciously aware of the harmful rays/what you’re being exposed to, doesn’t mean you won’t suffer negative effects from it. Or for a less scientific example, we can’t see wind but we can feel it and know it’s there because of the effects it has on the trees and leaves.

Why did you put this list together?
I know how much chronic pain and migraines suck. Without the right knowledge and tools available, they can rob you of a life well lived. This is my attempt to help others as I’ve been helped along my way.

This must have taken a long time. How did you gather all this data?
Truth be told, the hard part was already done for me. All this info was already readily available online for free. I just compiled it into a single source. So I really have to give credit to the fantastic people behind such review outlets as: RTINGS, tom’s HARDWARE, TFT Central, PCMonitors, Monitor’s Unboxed, GECID, WePC, TotallydubbedHD, PRAD, techless, and Mezha. Without their hard work, a site like this could not exist.

How can we support you or this site?
There are multiple ways to support this website. The most direct is making a donation. Purchasing a monitor through any of the affiliate links found on The Master List page also helps. I would also suggest making a donation, subscribing to, or using an affiliate link to whatever review outlet is listed as the source for the monitor you purchased.
